Wall Art

SAD THAT THERE ARE SO FEW WALLS AT HOME…

Wall art is my favorite form of home decor.
Hanging art is like giving your walls a new personality – suddenly they become expressive, interesting, and a little dramatic (in a good way).

Wall decor is therapy without the commitment. You can change your art whenever you want without regret:
  • Tired of dark abstracts? Throw them out.
  • Want vacation vibes? Hello, beach seascapes.
  • Want to feel sophisticated? A black and white photo of Paris will instantly elevate your CHIC.
Art is a major home accessory that doesn’t require hard work.

And speaking of sophistication, I have a soft spot for Claude Monet.

His work exudes warmth and tenderness - those hazy edges and dreamy colours that at first glance seem like random blobs... until you look closer and a whole scene unfolds, even beyond the artist's vision.

I've had the pleasure of seeing originals at the National Gallery in London.
Spectacular doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Naturally, I couldn’t resist bringing a piece of that magic home.
I picked up a couple of Monet posters from the gallery shop - how could I not buy them?
Painting - Bathers at La Grenouillère ,
Painting - The Water-Lily Pond .

And of course I had to frame them in antique gold with a matte white passe-partout. They deserve nothing less than royal treatment.

Every time I look at them, I am transported to the serene gardens and into ponds with shimmering water lilies that have captivated my heart. It is as if Monet himself were whispering the secrets of his brushstrokes into my ear.

The muted tones and delicate impressions fill my living space with an air of elegance and creativity, reminding me of the beauty that art can bring into everyday life.

These pieces are more than just decorations; they are windows into a world of inspiration and tranquility, where time stands still and the soul finds solace.

Now they sit propped up on a shelf, patiently waiting for a spot on the wall.
The problem?
My walls are running out of real estate.
Every time I find the perfect piece, I’m left wondering which old favorite will get evicted.

It’s a high-stakes game of interior design.😉

Art is flexible - that's its beauty.

Reproductions of famous paintings can be styled in countless ways on your walls:
  • you could go for the classic look with a wooden frame,
  • or keep it modern with a sleek metal one paired with a crisp white or bold black passe-partout,
  • they work beautifully as a single statement piece, commanding attention as the focal point of a room,
  • or as part of a curated gallery wall, mingling with other prints and artworks to create a layered, eclectic vibe.

The beauty of art is that it adapts to your space and style — it’s all about finding the right balance.

Mix and match, swap and rotate — there are no rules (except maybe avoiding anything with motivational quotes in Comic Sans).

So, if your walls are currently giving “empty chic,” maybe it’s time to let them express themselves.

Just don’t blame me if you suddenly find yourself curating a home gallery and Googling “how to install track lighting.”
